The people on the floor

Coaches

Two coaches. Every class is coached, not just supervised. You get told what to fix and how to fix it, every single session.

Beginners are welcome and the default. Nobody here learned this on their own, and you will not have to either. Ego is optional. Showing up is not.

Jon

Head Coach · Strength & Hyrox

I started lifting in a shed with a rusty barbell and never really stopped. I coach the strength side and the Hyrox build: cleans, snatches, squats, and the long compromised running that wins races. I will hold you to your numbers. I will also tell you when to back off. Most of the people I coach have never touched a barbell before they walked in, and most of them are squatting double bodyweight a year later.

I coach The Long Game on the weekend, the long heavy session we run closest to a race simulation.

CrossFit Level 2 Trainer (placeholder). British Weight Lifting Level 2 (placeholder). Hyrox-trained.

Claire

Coach · Gymnastics & Engine

I came to this from running, then got humbled by a set of toes-to-bar. I coach gymnastics and conditioning: pull-ups, handstands, double-unders, and the engine work that makes the back half of a workout less of a sufferfest. My sessions are technical and patient. We earn the kipping pull-up by owning the strict one first. You will leave knowing exactly what to drill before next time.

If a movement scares you, that is the one I want to work on with you. Slowly, properly, until it stops being scary.

CrossFit Level 1 Trainer (placeholder). Gymnastics coaching certificate (placeholder). England Athletics run leader (placeholder).
